Welcome to Junipers Restaurant & Cafe Bar

Junipers Restaurant and Cafe Bar is situated on South Street in the centre of the Historical Georgian town of Cockermouth. It is owned by Lee and Debbie formerly of the Riverside Restaurant in Cockermouth who are always on the premises to ensure a professional service at all times. With their 11 years of experience in Cockermouth they renovated a former agricultural iron mongers in 2003 and it is now a modern fresh and imaginative venue which serves delicious food throughout the day and night.

Junipers front of house is managed by Debbie and her staff to ensure a friendly, personal and relaxing atmosphere at all times. It is made up of two levels, the first floor is an open spacious restaurant servicing a top class A La Carte Menu, and can seat up to 55 people at any one time. This is then complimented by the ground floor which offers wine and tapas in the evening and becomes and bustling cafe during the day serving speciality coffees, cakes and sandwiches with outdoor seating for better days. The walls are decorated with paintings by a local artist, and are for sale.

All the dishes on the various menus are prepared and executed by Lee on the premises and using locally sourced produce where available.

All in all the Junipers experience leaves all who dine there very satisfied and happy customers with its softened lighting, professional service and excellent decoration not to mention the outstanding variety of food available there is something there to suit all tastes.
